CL Translate offers official, sworn, and professional translation services for personal, academic, business, legal, and vehicle import documents, featuring the signature and seal of an authorized Sworn Translator (Traductor Jurado) in Guatemala, for domestic and international procedures.
By using this Site, submitting the contact form, requesting a quote, or hiring our Services, you declare that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy.
Our Services include, among others:
Personal document translation: birth, marriage, and death certificates, DPI (Documento Personal de Identificación), criminal record checks, driver’s licenses.
Academic document translation: degrees, diplomas, transcripts, official letters, and study plans/syllabi.
Corporate and legal document translation: contracts, financial statements, articles of incorporation, patents, powers of attorney.
Vehicle import and customs document translation: cargo manifests, bills of lading, among others.
The client may request a quote through the web form, email, or WhatsApp by attaching a legible copy of the document to be translated. CL Translate will send a proposal detailing the estimated cost and delivery time. A quote does not constitute a binding obligation to hire until the client expressly accepts it.
The client is responsible for ensuring that all submitted documents are legible, authentic, and complete.
CL Translate commits to faithfully translating the content of the original document and is not responsible for errors, omissions, or inconsistencies present in the source document provided by the client.
It is the client’s responsibility to verify that the translation meets the specific requirements of the institution or authority to which it will be presented.
Delivery times are communicated at the time of quoting and may vary depending on the length, complexity, and volume of the document. CL Translate will make every reasonable effort to meet agreed deadlines; however, such timelines are estimates and may be affected by force majeure or factors beyond our control.
The delivery of the translated document will be carried out according to the client’s request:
Digital delivery: The document will be sent via the medium specified by the client (email, WhatsApp, or another agreed digital medium).
Physical delivery: The document will be sent via a courier service under cash-on-delivery (COD) terms, with shipping costs borne by the client. The condition in which the document arrives at its destination (including damage, loss, or delays) shall be the sole responsibility of the courier company handling the shipment. CL Translate is fully released from liability once the document is handed over to said carrier.
Prices for Services are determined individually based on the type, length, and urgency of the document. Accepted payment methods will be specified in the quote provided to the client.
Payment structure: Once the quote is accepted and the document to be translated is approved, the client must pay a 50% deposit of the total service cost to initiate the translation process. The remaining 50% balance must be settled upon completion of the work, prior to the delivery of the translated document.
Cancellation policy: In the event that the client decides to cancel the service after the translation process has begun (i.e., after the 50% deposit has been paid), the deposit will be non-refundable, as it covers the work, time, and resources already invested by CL Translate in translating the document.
CL Translate is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all documents and information provided by the client, using them exclusively for the fulfillment of the requested translation service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
All content on this Site (text, logos, images, and layout design) is the property of CL Translate or its respective owners and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Any full or partial reproduction without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited.
The user agrees to use this Site in a lawful manner, refraining from any activities that could damage, disable, overload, or impair the Site, or interfere with its normal operation.
CL Translate shall not be held liable for indirect damages, business losses, or administrative delays resulting from the use of translated documents before third parties, provided that the translation was faithfully executed according to the original document provided by the client.
CL Translate reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon publication on this Site. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala. Any controversy or dispute arising from their interpretation or compliance shall be submitted to the competent courts of Guatemala.
